Professional Coach for Tweens, Teens, and Young Adults

Tweens and teens face battles every day. Wrestling against low

self-esteem, negative body image, academic pressure, and more, they’re afraid no one will listen. Confused about how to navigate these challenges, they ultimately become paralyzed by stress and overwhelmed with fear. Teens need and deserve someone who can provide expert strategies for identifying and  overcoming

obstacles and maximizing their potential.

The young adult 20s are a critical developmental phase. As young adults transition from dependency to independence, they face new challenges: Future direction and career path, drugs and alcohol, anxiety and resilience, finances and budgeting, old and new relationships, and passion and purpose. Coaching can help to identify goals, pinpoint blocks against them, and help develop a workable plan for moving forward.

The coaching process is incredibly powerful and has the

capacity to transform lives.

If you are in a life-threatening situation, do not use this site. Please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, a free 24-hour hotline, at 1-800-273-8255. You may also text HOME to 741741. Your call or text will be routed to a crisis center near you. If your issue is an emergency, call 911 or have someone take you to the nearest emergency room.

That's where I come in

Hi, there. I'm Ellen. And I'm really glad you're here.

I've become a professional coach for tweens, teens, and young adults because I believe in you. I care deeply about the fact that you are living in a time of life that many find difficult.  I want to be sure that you know you have a voice. You have real thoughts and feelings about your world and the role you play in it. I want to provide you the opportunity to 'think out loud' by taking the time to speak your thoughts with someone you can trust. You can live a life that brings you happiness.

You really can!

But, sometimes it seems impossible, doesn't it? Struggle is a natural part of life - but it isn't always fun. I want to help you navigate the struggles that are holding you back from academic and social success: Stressful relationships, poor self-confidence, negative thought patterns, and limiting beliefs.

SO What Makes Me a Good Coach?

For one, I get it! Whatever you're dealing with, I've been there and I've felt the same way. Parents trust in me because I have the background that they're looking for: Several years as an inner-city high school educator with a Masters Degree in Education; in-depth professional coach training through Co-Active Training Institute (CTI); certification in Mental Health First Aid; and real life experience as a parent in a blended family.

If you're wondering if you need to find a coach near you, you're in luck! With coaching, we can create a digital relationship, using Zoom, FaceTime, and voice calls. You have the option of staying in your comfort zone - in your room, on your device - as you discover the life you really want to live. For those who are located nearby, I can arrange to meet you beneath a shelter in any of the many local parks in our area, or we can meet in a comfortable space I've created in my home.
